The mission of the Certification Body is to ensure the integrity of the certification process.  This means ensuring that all mobile money providers are subject to the same process and terms, assessors understand and equally apply all certification criteria, and certification decisions are made impartially and in accordance with the program terms.

Alliances Management is the Certification Body for the GSMA Mobile Money Certification. In this capacity, Alliances Management serves as an independent third party that is responsible for managing all aspects of certification, including training of assessors and consultants, contract management with mobile money providers, review of assessor reports, processing of certification-related financial payments, and making final determinations on applications for certification.

Alliances Management is an international association management company that works with standardization and certification bodies around the world.  It specializes in designing, implementing, and managing certification programs; overseeing operations management; and facilitating complex participation models for international, multi-stakeholder associations.  In addition to serving as the Certification Body for GSMA Mobile Money Certification, Alliances Management manages aspects of certification or compliance for associations such as EMVCo, FIDO Alliance, and GlobalPlatform.
